The Squire Stanley House Renovation
The Squire Stanley House serves as both student and faculty housing for The Choate Rosemary Hall School
The Squire Stanley Story
Squire Stanley House West Wing—1690 East Wing 1770 Haven for Revolutionary War Patriots, court where Royalists were tried. In 1775 General George Washington stopped here for tea with Judge Oliver Stanley on his way to take command of the Continental Army. In 1794 under George Washington Stanley, Esquire, Yale graduate, the house became “A School For Young Ladies and Gentlemen.” The Choate School was founded here in 1896 by Judge William C. Choate, with Mark Pitman as Headmaster
Existing Conditions
The existing conditions of the Squire Stanley House were structurally and aesthetically in poor condition.
Exterior Improvements
Carpenters, Painters, and Roofers all work in collaboration to bring this piece of history back to life.
Exterior Improvements
The (61) replacement windows did not come with custom factory finished colors. Robison Inc. and its experienced team used masking liquid that allowed for a nice even spray finish in a perfectly matched color.
Kane Innovation Security Screens
The first level of this facility housed roughly 8 students. Robison Inc. carefully measured each window opening for the fabrication of Level 5 Kane Innovation Security Screens. The screens were a specialty item with a lead time of over 12 weeks!
Faculty Housing Unit 1
This facility has (2) faculty housing units on the 2nd floor. The units were accessible by the existing exterior stairs/porch.
Faculty Housing Unit 2
This facility has (2) faculty housing units on the 2nd floor. The units were accessible by the existing exterior stairs/porch.

Kitchen Remodel
In faculty housing unit 1, Robison Inc. was faced with a challenging kitchen remodel. The unit itself had ceilings that were 6'4" high that were very uneven. We were able to take out an attic staircase to expand the kitchen footprint with all new cabinets, countertops, appliances, and flooring.
Toilet Room Conversion
This first floor dorm toilet room was converted into a shower and toilet room at the prestigious Loomis Chaffee School
Floor Plan
Robison Inc. design team worked closely with the owner on the floor plans for each bathroom to maximize use. We were able to efficiently equip each room with owner/student satisfaction.
Shower Stalls
All shower stalls were built with 8' CMU block.
1st Floor Toilet/Shower Room
1st Floor Privacy Bathroom
Robison Inc. converted this previous shower room into a private bathroom. With ongoing controversy surrounding gender specific bathrooms, we found this solution to be perfect for the students.

The Robison team exemplified the highest level of professional craftsmanship in this beautifully built dish return the blends in perfectly with the original architecture of the building.
This project was fast tracked and only took 4 weeks to complete. The paneling is custom made oak that is stained to match the existing features.
Scope included new doors, custom sliding door, stainless steel dish return conveyer belt modification, lighting upgrades, fire sprinkler modification, tile walls, and much more!
